West Ham reject Everton offer for one of David Moyes’ favourites.

For all the good he did at West Ham, even David Moyes’ biggest fans would have to admit he was rather stubborn. In a lot of ways it was the reason for his downfall, in others though it actually worked out in his favour.

Despite him being in awful form for about a year, Tomas Soucek was still relied on by Moyes week in and week out. Thankfully, this paid off as he eventually was reborn and, once again, became one of the Hammers most important players.

As almost everyone could have predicted, Moyes was said to be keen to reunite with the midfielder to have him play under him at Everton.

Given how desperate their midfield situation is, it’s not surprising that the club have reportedly rejected an offer from the Toffees.

Although he doesn’t particularly suit Potter’s current system, there’s no denying that he’s still a vital player who can win matches. Letting him go to a Premier League rival, particularly one where the manager knows how to get the best out of him, would have been a massive mistake.
