West Ham are continuing talks for targets with ExWHUEmployee providing a deadline day update.

Following the impending sales of both Nayef Aguerd and Emerson to Marseille, it appears the club are moving to secure a new centre back at least ahead of the closure of the window today at 7pm.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider Ex has provided the latest state of play, with new potential targets emerging. However, Charlie Cresswell remains as a key one too as talks continue.

“West Ham still remain in talks with Toulouse regarding Charlie Cresswell,” stated Ex.

“The club are monitoring the situation at Newcastle both for potential targets and players leaving. They are keeping an eye on Jacob Murphy to see whether due to their signings he becomes available on a loan.”

Ex has also advised that the club are also looking at Jayden Oosterwolde of Fenerbahce, although at this stage the Turkish club aren’t keen to allow the defender to depart.

“Another target that we can exclusively reveal appears to be back on our wish list is Jayden Oosterwolde. We have been linked with the Dutch defender who players for Fenerbahce before and it appears we have reignited interest.

“The 24 year old can play at centre back or left back and has experience in Holland, Italy and Turkey.

“We believe an offer has gone in for the player as it has done a number of other targets”

At present no deals are seen as close, but talks continue and things can change fast.
