West Ham United have been predicted to finish 16th place in the Premier League this season by Opta’s Supercomputer.
After a mixed start to the season with two heavy defeats to Chelsea and Sunderland, as well as a big win away at Nottingham Forest. West Ham are unsurprisingly not predicted to finish high up in the Premier League table this season.
The Hammers starting lineup has improved slightly from last season with a few good additions in the transfer window, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Matheus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa could improve the side, but a lot of the other teams in the League have improved more.
As a result of their solid but not exciting window and their poor start to the season, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted them to finish in 16th in the Premier League.
They have predicted the East London outfit to finish on 42 points, with Leeds also to avoid relegation in 17th place with 38 points. Opta predicts Wolves, Burnley and Sunderland to be relegated, with the Black Cats surprisingly expected to finis rock bottom.
The Hammers have been given a 26.2% chance of relegation this season, Leeds with 40.6% chance, Wolves 47.1%, Burnley with 50.8%, and finally, Sunderland are the favourites to be relegated with 53.6% chance.
