It already feels like West Ham are in a striker predicament this season, even though we are only 3 games into the Premier League campaign, writes Dave Walker.

The West Ham Way Podcast host has shared his thoughts on the current situation, with the news that Niclas Fullkrug is already set to miss action through a muscle strain injury.

It may well be a minor one, as we are currently being told, although it would not surprise many if Fullkrug is set for a longer spell on this side-lines – that would be typical West Ham.

Although this isn’t down to bad luck – as I for one am actually more surprised in general when we see the German fit and available. So this was always on the cards. Its bad planning once again by the club.

Fullkrug is a decent player don’t get me wrong but he level of availability just simply isn’t good enough.

There is a plus side to this of course, as it provides more opportunity to Calum Wilson and more so Calum Marshall. However, when it comes to Wilson, are we already on the path of burning him out considering his own injury issues in the past?

The worry is if we lose him too, then we are desperately short in that department, which again is a ridiculous situation to be in.
