The sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo feels it could be significant at West Ham, sh0uld West Ham fail to build on the win over Nottingham Forest.
In typical bizarre football coincidence, Nuno’s final game at Forest was the one that saw Graham Potter deliver a much needed victory and helped ease pressure on the Hammers boss.
Despite the well deserved win, there is still a lot more to happen for Potter to instil confidence at the club that he is the right man to lead West Ha, with the former Brighton boss currently on a dreadful win rate of just 26% after 23 games in charge.
Although no real strong link just yet, there will undoubtedly be calls for change, should Potter see his Hammers side slide back into the doom & gloom of defeats – especially with bitter rivals Spurs up next, at the London Stadium where form has suffered the most.
Nuno is now a man who is available, which all West Ham fans know is a big tick for David Sullivan. And with pressure growing on the Chairman too, will he now be considering a move for a man who has just guided Forest into Europe, which for most of last season looked certain to be Champions League.
