David Sullivan make major change following fan backlash.

The West Ham owners are currently facing more backlash than they perhaps ever have. Fans, West Ham sites, and the mainstream media all seem to be united in their message against the board.

Everyone knows that the Hammers have everything they need from a financial perspective to compete for Europe each year, but it’s greed and incompetence that holds them back.

David Sullivan has seemingly had enough of the criticism, and has started a complete media blackout.

This is obviously a huge change – he normally goes around spreading rumours (not all of them necessarily true as we’ve seen with our famous phantom bids) and this is something that enrages a lot of fans.

It often comes across as him gloating when things are going well, taking all the credit, and him palming off the blame when things aren’t going swimmingly.

Whether this is down to him throwing his toys out the pram due to the backlash, or whether it’s due to him finally seeing that, it can only be a positive thing and will help remove some of the toxicity that comes from within.
