West Ham deserve new owners to take club forward following a poor statement put to the fanbase.
That is the view of The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker, who was speaking after the club put out an official statement in what is a reaction to the planned protests and letter of no-confidence which was issued by the Supporters Trust.
I read the statement and immediately I felt it was very defensive from the board, with them once again desperate to remind the fans of their ‘achievements’.
The fact they keep mentioning the facts its now 14 consecutive seasons in the Premier League – hardly much of a feat after what they promised ahead of the move to the London Stadium, which we all know has not been a success, despite their view on the matter.
What they once again fail to do is actually address the countless amount of issues the fanbase has with them, with the statement focussing on performances and results – ignoring the big picture which seems to be a running theme.
Whilst that statement was centred around the last 2 seasons, I’d rather them talk about the future – which hopefully is one that is with new owners who care and want to take this club forward.
