West Ham are a football club that is seriously lacking leadership from top to bottom.

That is the view of The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker, who is like most fans is angry at the state of the club as we face yet another season of turmoil.

When you look at the state of things at present, it feels like there are issue no matter what direction you look in, whether it be the owners, squad, infrastructure, stadium.. it goes on and on.

However, I would say one huge cause of the issues we face that runs right through the football club is the back of leadership, from the very top and to the bottom.

You can look immediately at the owners, who show such an alarming level of incompetence and lack of leadership. Then the manager and players. How many times do you see any of them trying to galvanise others, grabbing hold of the situation? Never. It’s all heads down and hiding.

Leadership is essential is any organisation, no matter the industry or sector.

The fact is West Ham have a serious leadership issue and its one that is continuously overlooked when it comes to recruitment, both on and off the pitch.

It’s not good enough and seriously needs addressing.
