Is there any way Graham Potter survives as West Ham manager?
It feels like a matter of when Potter gets sacked rather than if.
When Lopetegui was sacked, many of us fell into the trap of believing “it can’t get any worse”. Let me tell you, it definitely did.
Potter having just two home wins since joining in January says everything really. However, is there any chance he stays in the job? Realistically, as much as I hate to say it. yes.
It’s not down to me having any faith in him, it’s down to my lack of faith in the owners. It’s believed there’s a break clause in the Summer that would require the board to pay no compensation for sacking the manager.
In my opinion, any sort of positive result over the next two games would be enough in order for Sullivan to keep him in the post, especially after he deemed both the Everton and Arsenal trips as ‘unwinnable’.
There’s been absolutely no redeeming factors to Potter’s tenure, but money talks and you know full well the board are desperate to hold out until the Summer.
