West Ham’s sacking of Potter and appointment of Nuno highlights incompetence of the board.

Graham Potter simply had to go. He boasted the worst win percentage of any permanent West Ham manager, was too stubborn in his approach, and picked players who he shouldn’t have.

However, with all due respect, he should have never been appointed as manager in the first place. He was only given the job because he was out of work and had Premier League experience.

Although fans are somewhat divided on Nuno, I think we can all agree it’s a major upgrade. Unfortunately, this isn’t a scenario where the board can be praised though. If Nuno was still in the Forest job (as he really should be) there is absolutely no way they would have paid the money to sign him.

Once again, they’ve gone for the convenient option, and he just so happens to play the most similar football to Moyes in England – the manager they got rid off a year ago for his style of football.

It’s a mess with nothing but greed at heart. Nuno will be a good appointment, but it’s pure luck he was available in the first place.
