Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to confirm his managerial backroom staff over the international break, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The new West Ham boss, who took over from the sacked Graham Potter after he was dismissed ahead of the Everton away fixture, is understood to have been impressed with the clubs Academy staff who have worked with him since his arrival.

As has been reported previously by our insider, the former Nottingham Forest boss is likely to bring in trusted coaching staff from his previous clubs, with Rui Pedro Silva and Julio Figueroa as assistant coaches and Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias as goalkeeper coach and fitness coach respectively likely to be selected as part of his team.

However, Nuno is said to be very impressed with the likes of Mark Robson and Steve Potts, who have stepped up in the interim, with it suggested that he may well look to promote as well as bringing in trusted colleagues.

“We understand that Nuno is very impressed with the coaching team he has had at West Ham so far,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast. “This includes both Mark Robson and Steve Potts.

“The new boss is expected to get his team in place over this international break, however this could now include promotions from our Academy.

“We reported previously that Nuno is looking for a blend of his usual staff plus people from West Ham. Promotions could there see a domino effect, with the club looking to replace Academy staff, should they move up to the first team under Nuno.

“We understand that staff will be announced over the international break.”
