New West Ham boss has two weeks over the international break to get his West Ham team playing in his image, as they go into a crucial run of fixtures.

With a draw and a loss in his opening two matches away at both Everton and Arsenal, the international break has come at the perfect time for Nuno to mark his style onto the team ahead of what is a run of winnable games for the Hammers.

West Ham face Brentford next Monday night, which means they now have just a day shy of two weeks to prepare for what is a huge match.

The priority for the club has to be to get Nuno’s staff in this week, he seems to be getting on and working well with the clubs youth staff at the moment, but he needs his own guys in to properly make his mark. This is the perfect time for them to start working with the team as your going to get without a pre-season, so the club have to get it done as soon as possible.

With Brentford, Leeds, Newcastle, Burnley and Bournemouth coming up in the next five for West Ham, we need to do everything we can to get ourselves in the best position to win these matches at possible. If we don’t get at the very least seven points from these matches, then real worry about relegation will start.

However, Nuno has really impressed me and a lot of Hammers fans despite not picking up a win yet, and two weeks on the training ground with the majority of the squad can only help with that.

The Portuguese manager needs to continue to work on set pieces, make the defence tighter, but most importantly we need to work on the attacking phase. We need to get the front players to gel in order to be as dangerous as we can on the break.

The Brentford game obviously isn’t a must win yet, but you can’t help but think its an absolutely crucial match for how our season is going to go, because there is still potential to completely turn it around. A win against Brentford would boost the positivity around the club and could possibly kick-start a run of form.
