Callum Wilson hasn’t featured in either of Nuno Espírito Santo’s matches in charge of West Ham, does he have a future under the Portuguese?

Not only has Wilson not started against either Everton or Arsenal, he hasn’t even come off of the bench, even though we were training in both matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo opted to keep Niclas Fullkrug on for the majority of the match against Everton despite his struggles. He then chose to bring on Callum Marshall instead of the England international against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Obviously it’s only two matches and Nuno hasn’t had any real time to work with the squad, but the fact he hasn’t featured is really telling. If he continues to be frozen out after the international break then he might not have a future at West Ham at all.

In m opinion that would be really harsh, he’s shown a lot more than Fullkrug this season despite having a lot less minutes, and the fact I looks like Nuno is willing to give up on him before he’s even given him a chance is harsh.

There wasn’t many West Ham fans that were happy with the signing of Wilson, however, he has actually exceeded the expectations a lot of us had for him, so maybe he can prove Nuno wrong too.
