George Earthy’s hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update on the situation.

Earthy spent a successful loan spell at Bristol City in the Championship last season, with the creative midfielder looking set to make his mark in east London during this campaign.

This was further encouraged by the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo, who took over from Graham Potter, with the former Nottingham Forest boss Nuno showcasing his faith om the clubs Academy graduates.

Unfortunately for Earthy, he has been constrained by injury so far this season, with the latest being a hamstring injury, which the fear was he was set to miss two months of action at least.

However, reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, club insider Ex has advised that the club and player are more optimistic, with Earthy excited to get back in the thick of the action to impress the new boss.

“I am pleased to say that the injury to George Earthy isn’t as bad as first feared,” stated Ex. “It’s believed he could be back in action in the next 4 weeks, although its seen as 4-6 at this stage until the club can be more confident.

“I have spoken with the player and he’s in a positive frame of mind and really excited to be back playing under the new boss.

“It’s clear that Nuno is giving chances to younger players and this has the likes of George feeling optimistic and eager to get playing for the new manager.”

Earthy better than first feared. 4-6 weeks. He’s excited to get back and get chance under Nuno
