West Ham flop’s time should be up in East London.
For a couple of years now, West Ham’s defence has been absolutely awful. This season alone, they’ve conceded 16 – the most in the league.
While the midfield and goalkeepers haven’t been good enough, so much of the blame has to go on the centre-backs at the club.
However, one in particular has been the route of so many problems.
Jean-Clair Todibo has done nothing to justify his near £40 million price tag. His defending is subpar, his passing isn’t great, and he can’t complete a full 90.
After causing issues amongst the squad under both Lopetegui and Potter, it’s only right that Nuno has outcasted him. He’s said to be one of the key contributors to a toxic dressing room last season, so it’s good the new gaffer isn’t going to accept that.
There’s been too many players whose heart isn’t in it over recent years. If the Irons are to bounce back they need to sign the right personalities rather than raw talent.
