West Ham could swap promising a youngster for a struggling striker.

Luis Guilherme may not have set the world on fire, but he’s had some promising performances, especially considering his age and limited playing time. For some reason though, it seems like the Hammers are constantly linked with moving him on.

Perhaps his high price tag means that they’re not willing to give him the time they would to other academy prospects, but either way it’s been reported that he could be exchanged alongside clash for former Barcelona striker Viktor Roque.

The Brazilian had real problems adapting to life in Spain, scoring just 6 goals in 36 matches. Since returning to his home country he has found a bit of form, scoring 9 in 26 for Palmeiras.

For me, when the No.9 is such a problem area, it doesn’t make sense to take a risk on someone who’s struggled in Europe before no matter his age.
