West Ham eye prolific English striker in January window.

With Niclas Fullkrug out injured, West Ham’s failure to sign a forward  in the Summer transfer window has been highlighted.

While the German was hardly firing on all cylinders for the Hammers, at least he was once a respected striker.

However, West Ham seem eager to finally put this era of abysmal No.9s behind them, by signing a proven Premier League goal scorer.

According to reports, they’re considering a move for Ivan Toney, who has become unsettled in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately, the quality and intensity of football over there is nothing compared to England, so whether or not at 29 he’d be able to just come back and return to his previous form is unlikely.
