West Ham could be set to offload summer signing Mads Hermansen in January, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The Danish goalkeeper signed for the club in the summer, in what was regarded as a significant investment under previous boss Graham Potter, with the club signing player for around £20m from Leicester City.
However, despite the expectations, it’s thus far been a poor transfer for all parties, with Hermansen now very much appearing to be 2nd choice behind Alphonse Areola.
It’s now been reported by Ex that the club could look to recoup as much of the summer outlay on Hermansen, with clubs showing an interest.
“We understand there is an interest within the club to possibly cash in on Hermansen, despite only signing him this summer,” stated the insider.
“It’s a transfer that isn’t working out and we believe that Italian clubs have shown an interest, including Lazio.”
Ex also advised that James Ward-Prowse has much interest also, with Southampton, Everton, Leeds and Burnley all keeping tabs on the player.
It’s also widely expected that the club will look to offload both Andy Irving and Guido Rodriguez in the new year.
