Nuno Espírito Santo has made four changes as the Hammers travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton.
The biggest change isn’t personnel, Nuno has opted for a back 5 this afternoon which makes sense considering Brightons attacking threat.
Max Kilman has come into the team and will likely start in between Mavropanos and Todibo in the heart of defence.
The biggest and most controversial change is Guido Rodriguez. The Argentinian has been left on the bench a lot in recent weeks, but the gaffer has decided to start him over Andy Irving.
Potts is on the bench which I can only assume is a rest because him and Fernandes have been playing so well together. Callum Wilson not playing is certainly due to rest and fatigue as he played 88 minutes just three days ago.
I’m not sure why Magassa isn’t playing after his sensational performance on Thursday, there’s no reason to rest him coz he’s barely played under Nuno, The decision to start Guido over him could be a really bad decision, but let’s hope not.
There are so big boosts Paqueta comes straight back in after suspension and he is set to play up front in place of Wilson. This allows the returning Summerville to play in his favoured position on the left and Bowen can move back to the right after playing as what was basically number 10 at Old Trafford.
While the team is really surprising without Potts and Magassa especially, I feel like this team can get a result against Brighton this afternoon.
