Jarrod Bowen has had a slightly dimmer season in comparison to his normal talisman stats, subsequently leading to amounts of unwarranted criticism.

It’s been a torrid time for the Hammers this season, which has seen players struggle, managers sacked, and difficulties behind the scenes with all the stuff, from what we now know was a phasard.

Potter had made everything seem better than it actually was, and that rubbed off on the players, causing West Ham to leak goals and see underwhelming performances from individuals such as Jarrod Bowen and two handfuls of others.

Plenty of other names can be mentioned, such as Jean-Clair Todibo, Paqueta, etc… the list goes on! But Jarrod Bowen, unfortunately, suffered too and has since been recovering from his hindered mindset of form.

Under Nuno, he’s been provided with new life but also a new style. In games such as Brighton, he demonstrated his quality once again in such a crucial moment and barring one or two misses, which all world-class players have, he’s taken the majority of chances he’s been able to muster up.

Malick Diouf recently spoke in an interview about Jarrod Bowen and said, “I love! He’s a really, really, really good player. He’s got everything: experience, talent, the finishing. He helps us a lot. I think he is the best man in the squad right now.” – High praise from Malick Diouf, which is great to see given the criticism Bowen has received online.

He’s been a player who’s relentlessly been relied on in the big moments, and he more often than not delivers. He is certainly not a player who is dipping in form, but rather an individual that is adapting to a new life under Nuno as well as adapting to a new role within the team.

More often than not, during the tough moments, it’s easy to pin the blame or pick out someone who isn’t performing to their classic standards, which is certainly not a rabbit hole that fans should jump down into.
