West Hams defending at times in the 3-0 loss to Manchester City was a joke and embarrassing.

That is the view of The West Ham Way Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee, who was speaking after the loss which leaves the club in deep relegation mire, with pressure now on for the club to get much needed points in the upcoming games.

“It was probably the most easy to predict result of the season that,” stated Ex. “A comfortable defeat at Manchester City with Haaland getting a couple of goals.

“Whilst we created some chances we were let down by the two main obvious things. Firstly our inability to not take chances which is not helped by not having a forward on the pitch! And even worse our defending.

“At times I found myself laughing in embarrassment at some of our defending and the goals we conceded probably wouldn’t have occurred if we had any defensive ability. Major work is needed in the January transfers window but on previous window’s evidence not enough will be done.”
