Former West Ham player Don Hutchison has launched a blistering attack on David Sullivan and has called for the Chairman to resign.
The club is currently in a full scale battle to avoid relegation this season, with many pointing towards the mismanagement of the club by Sullivan and Karren Brady as the key reason for the state of the situation.
Hutchison, who was speaking to Oddsboom, said that Sullivan is not leaving a positive legacy in any manner whatsoever, unlike Daniel Levy at Spurs, who delivered on his promise of a world class stadium for Spurs fans.
“I go back to the job that Daniel Levy did,” said the former Hammers midfielder. “Love him or hate him, but he’s left a legacy behind in the form of their new stadium. I’m not sure what David Sullivan’s legacy is.
“I played for the football club twice. I know what the fans are going through. I’m quite close to West Ham fans on the ground. I listen to what they say on social media. I live in a sort of West Ham area and it feels quite tragic really, that they haven’t got a home. You know, it just feels as though it would never happen at Liverpool.
“Liverpool fans wouldn’t allow it. It wouldn’t happen at Man United where they sold Old Trafford and rented a stadium. Wouldn’t happen to St. James’s Park. It just wouldn’t happen anywhere else apart from West Ham.
“The one I feel sorry for are the fans who turned up to the London Stadium not having a home.
“If I had one wish… that’d be my one wish for David Sullivan to fund a stadium. Whether it’s just by selling up, get West Ham a home and build them their own stadium.”
