West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo simply has to start Callum Wilson tonight or he may lose his job.
The threat of West Ham being relegated is becoming increasingly likely every game we play and that has to change. We need to start getting points. We need to start winning football matches.
We’re not going to start winning football matches if Nuno continues with this system of no striker. Playing Paqueta or Bowen up there just isn’t working and it has to stop.
When he has played Wilson up there it has worked, and every time he’s brought him on off the bench we’ve improved. So why he keeps starting matches without him when he’s had more than enough recovery in between appearances is crazy.
If he doesn’t start this evening we all might as well just give up and go home from the start. If we want to score goals we need to score and the only way we score is through Wilson, Bowen, and Soucek. So we need all of those in there right position and we might have a chance
If we start Wilson up front, Bowen on the right, and have Soucek on the bench in case of emergency I fully believe we can win the game this evening.
It will be hard, but we’ve actually been playing pretty well as of late, despite not winning in our last seven matches. If we play like we have been as a team and have the right players in their correct and effective positions we can beat Brighton.
Starting Wilson is the most important tonight, if he doesn’t start Wilson I am certain we lose this match and we will be in even more danger of the drop
