Nuno Espírito Santo has finally decided to put Callum Wilson in from the start as West Ham host Brighton tonight.

The starting XI: Areola; Walker-Peters, Kilman, Todibo, Scarles; Potts, Magassa, Fernandes; Paquetá, Wilson, Bowen.

Apart from maybe Kilman, this is the team almost every West Ham United fan wanted to see take the field tonight.

But even with Kilman, he had a pretty good game against Fulham at the weekend. So, to be honest, while I’d prefer Mavropanos started I’m not mad with Kilman playing.

The full-backs obviously aren’t ideal but with El Hadji Malick Diouf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka away at AFCON, Scarles and KWP are definitely the best options.

The decision to start Paquetá on the left wing over Summerville is the right one. The Dutchman has been poor in recent weeks. He hasn’t made anywhere near as much impact as we hoped he would and his finishing has been very very poor.

Paquetá hasn’t exactly been any better, but he can always create something out of nothing through a pass, a bit of skill or a shot from distance, like we saw at home against Chelsea earlier in the season.

Nuno has picked the right team to get a result today, the players need to have the right attitude, the coaches need to have implemented the correct tactics if we want a chance of winning because Brighton are a great side

Not only are they a great side, they’re our bogey team so we need to get everything right if we want to get the all important three points tonight.
