West Ham United travel to Wolverhampton to play Wolves this afternoon, and it’s the most nervous I’ve been for a game in a long time.
If West Ham do not beat Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon the club is doomed for relegation. There is absolutely no excuse but to win this match.
Wolves are one of the worst teams the Premier League has seen for a long time. After 19 matches they have just three points, in fact they’re on course to be the worst Premier League team ever points wise.
If you think West Ham have been poor, take a look at Wolves this season, they’ve been a lot worse. We’ve been struggling for goals with 20 in 19 games, they only have 11.
All this should make Hammers fans confident for the match, not only are we better than them, our fast start to the transfer window should also give us a boost going into this game.
New signing Pablo Felipe is expected to be on the bench for this one as he was registered in time to make the squad. This has given us Hammers fans a little bit more of a boost going into this one.
However, after the results of our last few matches. We can’t help but be really worried, we could’ve got a lot more points than we have in recent weeks but stupid mistakes and conceding late goals has really troubled us.
I can’t help but think today is going to be another similar story, this game has another 1-1 draw written all over it. But that won’t be good enough, we have to give everything on that pitch, we have to show we’re the better team, we have to come back to East London with all three points.
If we don’t, I’m certain we will be playing Championship football next season.
