West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo has made six changes to the team to face Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup.
Areola, Walker-Peters, Scarles, Soucek, Paquetá, Fernandes have been dropped as Nuno names a rotated team to face the West Londoners.
Mads Hermansen makes his return to the team for the first time after being dropped from the team by Graham Potter. It should be a good game for him with the Hammers expected to dominate. But let’s hope he’s learnt how to deal with corners
Both full backs have been changes as Wan-Bissaka makes his return after featuring for DR Congo at AFCON. Ollie Scarles has been replaced by Ezra Mayers in what I think is the right decision as he’s better on the ball.
The midfield three that started against Nottingham Forest have all been dropped. Freddie Potts and Magassa come back in, as well as Max Kilman as Nuno reverts to the back five.
The front three stays the same with Summerville on the left, Castellanos up top and Bowen on the right. It’s unlikely with the form we’re in. However, all three of those players could really do with a goal. We have to start scoring goals and today is an excellent opportunity.
The starting lineup. Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Todibo, Kilman, Mayers; Potts, Magassa; Summerville, Castellanos, Bowen.
Overall, I’m happy with the team. He’s made some changes which was necessary but he’s stuck with the first team players. The first team players need a boost, there’s no better way to do that than against a Championship team. Well, we hope anyway.
