West Ham take on bitter rivals Spurs today in full knowledge that the hosts are in a crisis of their own.
Although West Ham are having a dire season, with relegation feeling more likely than not, Spurs are a club in a mess with fans fed up with their form under new boss Thomas Frank.
This situation in north London presents the club with an opportunity and it’s one that Nuno must seize.
Speaking ahead of the game today, The West Ham Way Podcast duo Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee shares their thoughts, with both wanting to see Nuno go all out for the win.
“It’s a good time to play Tottenham but we have to be bold today,” stated Walker.
“I think we have to be on them straight away, press them, play with intensity, get in their faces, make it uncomfortable for them.
“However I’m not sure Nuno will do that. If he does set up to defend and counter attack let’s hope it works because the fans are desperate to have something to smile about.”
Ex shared Walkers view by admitting that the crisis at Spurs presents a big chance for Nuno and the club this season.
“I know I say this every week but this is must win game now, because Spurs themselves are in crisis,” added Ex.
“It is thought should we beat them they could sack their manager so it will be a tense crowd. Let’s attack them from the off and hope they can crumble. Come on West Ham!!”
