Andy Irving has completed his move to Sparta Prague after being exclusively reported by Ex, with the insider revealing the details of the move.

Although not a regular in the first team, Irving was popular amongst players and fans, however it was deemed time to move him on with opportunities lacking.

“As we exclusively revealed Andy Irving was set to join Sparta Prague, the club owned by Daniel Kretzinsky in Czechia,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Well, this move has now be completed and confirmed for an “undisclosed fee”.

“We can confirm that this fee was €1.5m, which was around what we paid for him. The player’s contract was up at the end of the season although we did have the option to trigger a one year extension.

“The club chose not to trigger this because they believe that there are better players in the academy for Irving’s position coming through and he was stopping their pathways to the first team.”
