It’s understood that the club have stepped in to attempt to keep Callum Wilson at the club this season, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Despite Wilson having a positive impact overall and of course scoring the winner against Spurs at the weekend, speculation over his future remains.
It’s now been reported by our insider that David Sullivan has pushed the manager to keep Wilson.
“In an interesting move by the club it seems that David Sullivan has intervened with the ongoing situation and told the manager he must keep him until the end of the season,” stated Ex.
“David Sullivan made it clear in the summer it was his signing and that the deal had been done on a very incentivised deal.
“It does make little to no sense to let the player go and this was further confirmed by his winning goal scoring cameo at Spurs at the weekend.
“When questioned on the player’s future the manager was very vague and avoided the question’s answer in the post match interviews.
“We were told that the player should now remain at the club until the end of the season at the request of the clubs’s hierarchy.
“How that has gone down with the manager is unknown but it does seem to be the correct decision although of course it does completely undermine the manager.
“Never a dull moment with our club….”
