West Ham appear to be closing in on the latest signing of January in Kieber Lamadrid, with ExWHUEmployee reporting exclusively the latest.
Following what was a huge win over rivals Spurs at the weekend, it appears the club are set to push ahead and look to strengthen the squad as we battle relegation from the Premier League.
Our insider provided the news on The West Ham Way Patreon, with Ex that a deal is progressing fast.
“The player the club are moving for next this January is Kieber Lamadrid of Deportivo La Guaira in Venezuela,” stated Ex. “He is a left sided player who features predominantly as a left winger and has recently celebrated an international call up.
“He is a versatile player who has 14 goals in 103 appearances. He is 22 years of age and has been recommended to us by “trusted” South American agents.
“The deal is originally thought to be a loan with an option to buy and talks have been going on for a couple of days now.
“There had been some talks about making the move permanent as opposed to a loan and this was what was being discussed in recent days. The fee isn’t expected to be much and was seen as a gamble but a player who represented minimal risk either way.
“The player is due to complete his medical in the coming days whilst the club are also trying to get his work permits and international clearance sorted.”
Ex also advised that the club are still hopeful in signing Adama Traore this window.
“The club do also hope to sign Adama Traore for the wing position but he is more right sided with Lamadrid left sided, so this will give us more depth in the winger positions should the transfers happen,” added our insider.
