West Ham are closing in on the signing of Keiber Lamadrid from Deportivo La Guaira, with ExWHUEmployee reporting an update.

The young right-winger is understood to be set to complete his medical work ahead of officially being confirmed as a West Ham player, however Ex has advised he is set to move into the Academy initially.

“I can report that Lamadrid is set to undertake his media duties tomorrow, ahead of his announcement as the latest signing this window,” stated Ex.

“He will however be joining the clubs Academy initially, in the hope he can impress and then make steps towards the first team.

“We are still awaiting international clearance for the Venezuelan, however the club are confident this won’t be an issue.”

In other news relating to the Academy, Ex provided an update on Spurs forward Frankie Day, who is currently undertaking the ‘5-step process’ ahead of joining the club.

“Tottenham Hotspur U18 Forward Frankie Day is still going through the 5 step process,” stated Ex. “In the context of English Premier League and Category One Academies, signing a young player involves a strict regulatory, five-step investigation process to ensure compliance with youth development rules, which typically takes around 25 days.”

Ex has also reported that young French defender Dimitri Colau, who we signed from Paris FC in the summer has already returned to France.

Lewis Orford has a number of offers in for him from at home and abroad but the club will make a decision on him.
