West Ham face Sunderland at 12:30 on Saturday afternoon in what is a crucial game for our survival.

The Hammers sit five points from safety, but after two wins in a row, we’re beginning to get some hope together. But a loss on Saturday would completely ruin all hope, we have to beat Sunderland at home.

The best hope of a win is for Nuno Espírito Santo to pick his best starting lineup and go all guns blazing for the win.

My ideal starting XI: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Todibo, Walker-Peters; Bowen, Fernandes, Magassa, Summerville; Wilson, Castellanos.

I’d make three changes, bringing in Walker-Peters, Magassa and Wilson. I’d bring in KWP for Scarles for a bit more experience/solidarity.

I’d also bring in Magassa for Soucek for defensive reasons, I think Soucek alongside Fernandes was fine against Spurs, but Sunderland are stronger in midfield than Spurs with like likes of Xhaka and Le Feé in there.

Wilson doesn’t need explaining, he scored the late winner that earned us all three points against Spurs. Also, I think having Wilson as the striker and Taty just off of him would really thrive. Also, Pablo hasn’t looked great since the arrived in East London.

Despite this, I can see Nuno sticking to the same team that beat Tottenham, which I do understand, but personally I think we should make 2/3 changes because Sunderland are a completely different team.
