West Ham cannot afford to lose Crysencio Summerville.

Despite some solid performances as of late, Summerville himself will be the first to admit that his time in East London has been disappointing. A long-term injury kept him out for half of last season, and he’s struggled to make a real impact, in terms of goals and assists, outside of that.

However, as mentioned, the last few games he’s not just improved – he’s been a game changer.

His directness always causes problems for defenders, but he’s started making better decisions and executing moves well.

Perhaps unsurprisingly after his performance against them, the winger has attracted the interest of London rivals Tottenham, who are said to have submitted a £25 million bid for him, according to reports.

When the club have no other first-team left-wingers, it would be ridiculous to sell him under any circumstances, but selling one of the only players who can make things happen when you’re in a relegation battle would be suicide.

Summerville is the sort of player that, if in-form, could save us this season, he can’t be allowed to leave, especially not to Spurs.
