West Ham are understood to be stepping up efforts to sign Taylor Harwood-Belis from Southampton, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
As the club enters the last few days of the January transfer window, it was reported by Ex that the club were in talks over a possible loan move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, however now out attentions appear to have shifted to Harwood-Belis.
“One of the targets to emerge as a possible alternative to Disasi is Taylor Harwood-Belis,” stated Ex. “We exclusively revealed yesterday that while Axel Disasi of Chelsea was a target, it wasn’t as advanced as some had said and we were exploring other alternatives. One of those alternatives is Harwood-Bellis.
“The club are exploring a possible transfer deal for him but Southampton are reluctant to sell.
“One thing that massively works in West Ham’s favour is that his agent is Will Salthouse, who West Ham have a close relationship with.
“West Ham are expected to make an enquiry soon to see what figure Southampton would sell for, if any. However, we do understand that West Ham are stepping up efforts to land the player.”
