Professional boxer and Hammers fan Joel Kodua has giving his backing to his brother Gideon, who is on loan at Luton Town.
The English Welterweight champion, who is fighting this weekend, was speaking exclusively to The West Ham Way, when speaking about his brothers development.
“Gideon, when he’s in the right environment it allows him to show what he can do,” said Joel. “Last year was tough with injuries and the stop start nature but he has taken the learnings into this season and is thriving.
“Having Jack Wilshire involved was a bit scary at first due to the FA Youth Cup final victory over his old Arsenal u18s team where Gids scored a screamer but it’s been the best thing for him.
As a former Hammer (Wilshire), He has praised Gideon and West Ham’s academy for developing him and others into first good men and top young players. We hope it continues and the sky is the limit.
“For any fellow West Ham fans that aren’t going to the game this week, would love your support at the Copperbox Arena and tickets are still available on the website link.”
