Axel Disasi is understood to be keen on a permanent switch to West Ham in the summer, should the club survive, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The Chelsea defender, who joined the club on loan for the remainder of the season during the January transfer window, has been in impressive form since arriving in east London.
West Ham have seen a significant upturn in form since the turn of the year, with the club now closing the gap on teams out of the relegation zone which now sees us level on points with Nottingham Forest with 9 games remaining.
Spurs are also just one point ahead of our Hammers, with their dire form pointing towards the north Londoners heading towards the Championship, although that will remain to be seen.
Disasi has been a pivotal figure in Nuno’s sides form, with it fair to say this has been a positive period for the France international, following a difficult time at Chelsea and a previous loan at Aston Villa.
Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, our club insider Ex advised that the player is very happy in east London and would like to make the move permanent.
“We understand that Disasi is loving his time at West Ham and is very much open to a permanent move,” stated Ex.
“It’s obviously not simple though, firstly with our current status in the Premier League in doubt and too our finances.
“He would not come cheap from Chelsea, who are seeing this loan as perfect for them should they look forward to sell him in the summer.”
If West Ham are to pull off a relegation escape this season, then the club could well open talks with our London rivals over a move.
