West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos has been in great form for a while now, and he’s really starting to make his mark in Claret and Blue.

West Ham fans are in love with the Greek international after his sensational penalty confirmed the Hammers’ spot in the FA Cup quarter finals.

Since arriving as a Tim Steidten signing in the summer of 2023 under David Moyes, Mavropanos has had a very up and down time in East London.

He is a player that everyone has always know is clearly very talented. However, he’s never really shown that consistently. He’ll go through spells where he looks like a world beater, then he’ll look almost useless for a few weeks.

However, pretty much since Graham Potter arrived he’s actually been very impressive, and has got even better under Nuno Espírito Santo. I think the way the Portuguese manager likes to defend really suits his game.

Not only has he been a crucial part of the recent West Ham remontada alongside new man Axel Disasi, he also formed a good partnership with Todibo before that. It’s really good to see considering how poor our central defence options were at the start of the campaign.

Dinos’ stocks are probably the highest they’ve ever been at West Ham at the moment, let’s hope he can keep his form up till the end of the season at least. And let’s hope he’s on the pitch to take a penalty if we need him against Burnley in the quarter final next month
