West Ham must take advantage and beat Palace tonight to seriously boost our safety hope this season.
The West Ham Way’s Dave Walker & ExWHUEmployee have spoken ahead of the hugely important London derby, with West Ham able to increase our gap on the bottom 3 to 4 points with victory – so the pressure is on
“We have got a massive opportunity against Palace now,” stated Walker. “They have European commitments, probably a hangover from the celebrations and injuries to key players. We simply HAVE to win this game!”
Ex shared his thoughts on Nuno, who has guided our Hammers into a position where safety now feels somewhat achievable – albeit with plenty of work still to do.
“When Nuno first came to post he made some bizarre early decisions which immediately gave West Ham fans some doubts about his abilities,” added Ex. “Early results were mixed and relegation seemed certain.
“However since he had a transfer window to bring in four of his own players all of which have made an impact and to move on some of the players he didn’t want things have improved massively. You can’t fault him for our form over the recent months and should he keep us up I think he should be given our full backing going into the new season.”
