Despite beating, getting all three points, Nuno Espirito Santo should make a change from the team that beat Everton on Saturday to face Brentford tomorrow.

When a team wins by a goal, and a substitute striker scores the winning goal, there would usually be calls for that striker to start the next match.

However, that isn’t really the case this time around. Almost every Hammer believes it would be the wrong decision; he doesn’t have the energy or pace to play in this team from the start. The role of substitute striker is perfect for the England international.

Despite not having any intentions of starting Wilson, I would still drop Pablo Felipe to the bench. But who should replace the young Portuguese striker?

Well, I personally wouldn’t make a straight striker for striker swap. I would start Mohamadou Kanté in place of Pablo.

It wouldn’t necessarily mean a change in formation, obviously, Kanté is a midfielder. However, that’s the sort of role Pablo plays anyway. I think Kanté can play pretty much the exact role Pablo does to more effect in both attacking and defensive duties.

No one can fault his effort, but the lack of quality is clear. Kante can offer that same hard work and probably more quality, so it’s a no-brainer. He obviously isn’t a natural striker, but does Pablo Felipe play like one either?
