West Ham need to draw upon our previous responses to losses when we take on Arsenal next weekend.

The 3-0 loss to Brentford feels like a body blow that the club have to react to immediately, with just 3 games remaining to save our Premier League skin.

Although there are a number of factors to look at in the loss to the Bees, ultimately West Ham were not good enough in such a crucial game, one that held so much opportunity.

It has been squandered and now we need to fully focus on our response when we take on Arsenal – and pray Spurs lose to Aston Villa to keep our heads above water.

Typically under Nuno, we have reacted well to defeat. In fact we have shown character and have managed to brush off quickly. However this time we face the club top of the league.

Arsenal will be an animal desperate for the win also, which makes for a nail biting affair but it’s one West Ham cannot afford to lose after yesterday.

It’s going to be a fierce London derby next weekend against our former captain and a side who have seen a rivalry revitalise in recent seasons.

West Ham never make life easy and it’s once again being made the case again, with the prospect of relegation feeling far more real this morning as it did 24 hours ago.
