West Ham are eager to keep Jarrod Bowen at the club beyond this season even in the event of relegation, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The club captain’s future has been one of speculation in recent weeks, with reports in the media suggesting that clubs including Newcastle and Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the 29 year old.

There has also been reports suggesting that Bowen has a £20m release clause, however Ex has advised that is not the case.

Bowen, who signed a long term deal at the club to remain in east London until 2030, has struggled for form in recent weeks, with some suggesting the weight of captaincy has taken its toll – especially with the club in the position it is in.

Despite the current situation, the club are eager to retain Bowen, even if West Ham are relegated to the Championship.

“We can exclusively reveal that rumours of Jarrod Bowen having a £20m relegation release clause have been denied by the club,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “We approached a well place source and were told ‘It is 100 percent not true and we would really like to keep him even if we are in the Championship’.

“Whether West Ham will be able to retain Bowen and remain true to their word remains to be seen, should relegation happen.”
