The West Ham Way’s club insider ExWHUEmployee hopes that Jarrod Bowen missing out on England this week will inspire him to end the season on a high with West Ham.

There is no doubt that missing out on a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad is pailful for the West Ham captain, who will possibly feel hard done by considering his impressive numbers this season, despite playing in a relagation battle for the duration.

However, no goals since January in the league has undoubedly played its part, so Bowen misses out on what was likely to be his last shot at a World Cup.

Club insider Ex has spoken of his hope that the situation could see a positive reaction from the captain, as we look to finish the season with a win and hopefully Premier League survival.

“If I’m being honest and taking my claret and blues glasses off, I don’t think his performances since January have merited a call up although some of the other alternatives are just as questionable,” stated Ex.

“I hope this inspires him to go out tomorrow with a point to prove, have a rested summer and come back and produce the form we all know he is capable of.”
