West Ham are working to keep hold of Jarrod Bowen this summer despite our relegation, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Hammers captain is understandably a player with much speculation surrounding his future, with clubs circulating.

However, despite his undeniable talent and being a Premier League quality player, there is somewhat hope he can be convinced to stay in east London and help fire the club back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

“The club are desperate to hold onto Jarrod Bowen and have already called meetings with him to tell him that they would like him to remain,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“The England international is at crossroads in his career because he does love West Ham and want to stay however he just missed out on the World Cup squad and at 29 years of age, he has limited time to win that place back especially as a Championship player.

“It is thought that West Ham are prepared to honour his Premier League wage in the Championship. Most players have a clause that reduces it by 50 percent if is understood the club will justify keeping his the same as he is the club captain and one of the longest serving players.

“You also have to have 8 homegrown players in a Championship match squad of which Bowen would be one. It is unsure on whether he will remain but the club are quite hopeful.”
