There is undoubtedly a growing sense that Amanda Staveley could be set to buy shares in West Ham, which would represent a significant move for the club.

Although it is at this stage still a rumour, the upcoming confirmation by the club that Steve Nickson is to be appointed as our new Director of Football, is also serving to ramp up the ongoing speculation.

There has even been a strong suggestion that Staveley and her husband were at the London stadium recently, taking a tour ahead of a big money move to set London?

Again, at this stage it’s all speculation, but it cannot be denied that this would be a move for the former Newcastle director that makes a lot of sense.

Despite relegation and other off field issues which have been the making of the previous regime – West Ham are now an attractive proposition for investment, especially with Kretinsky and his wealth now running the show.

Having the Czech in power lowers risk significantly and in actual fact, makes an investment return look for probable than not.

That is without taking into the account the possibility that West Ham could soon be in control of the London Stadium and surrounding land.

It may still be just speculation, but it cannot be denied that a move from Staveley to West Ham makes a lot of sense.

For fans, who are understandably excited by the direction of travel the club is now in, it’s time to wait and see how things unfold.

But it would come as no surprise if Staveley is in a position of power & influence alongside Kretinsky soon.
