West Ham are continuing to move fast in the quest for change as a new Director of Football in Paul Nickson is close to being confirmed.

Hammers fans are still coming to terms with the fact the club is no longer under the control of the deeply unpopular David Sullivan & Karren Brady, both of whom have resigned, with Sullivan edging closer away for good.

It is a time the fanbase has longed for, a move away from the shambles that has engulfed the club for far too long – with it appearing on the outset that the man in charge, Daniel Kretinsky, has a vision and direction for the football club.

This has been further emphasised by the appointment of Steve Nickson from Newcastle, which make no mistake, is a statement and coup for West Ham.

Speaking of the appointment, The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker has expressed his delight in the appointment and how important this role is going forward.

“It’s another important piece to the puzzle for West Ham,” said Walker. “Baby steps towards having a club with structure and strategy, something that’s been missing for too long.

“Let’s hope he comes in and does a good job because it’s an important role.”
