West Ham hold a firm interest in Sheffield United midfielder Sydie Peck and could be set to make a move, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Peck is a player understood to be a player that the club have kept tabs on and remains a target still, even following the arrival of Nils Koppen.
“West Ham continue to explore transfer options and the interest in Sydie Peck of Sheffield United remains,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “He was a target prior to the appointment of Nils Koppen and he remains one now.
“The midfielder is 21 years of age and is an England under 21 international.
“He started his career in Arsenal’s academy but has made almost 100 appearances for Sheffield United now.
“It is thought the club could test the Blades resolve in coming days with an offer. Sheffield United’s financial situation could mean that the club are able to negotiate a decent fee for the player.
“At the moment recruitment remains very much dependent on which players leave but we know that the club are actively looking for a replacement for Mateus Fernandes.
“There are other targets on the list but Peck remains a key one. We will keep you updated with things.”
