West Ham are hoping to get others to stay following Jarrod Bowen’s commitment to the club, with ExWHUEmployee reporting an update.

As was reported by our insider days ago, Bowen has now made his announcement to fans that he is remaining in east London following our relegation and has now advised that work is being done to retain others.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, Ex advised that while works are ongoing to retain others, the club are also very keen to being Axel Disasi back to the club following his positive loan spell.

“West Ham have a number of enquiries in for players and have started talks with a few clubs and players around potential recruits,” stated Ex.

“As we have been saying most of the transfer window, the club are hopeful on holding on to most of the players. The only players almost certain to leave are: Crysencio Summerville and Jean-Clair Todibo.

“A number of clubs have enquired about the Dutch winger Summerville, and West Ham are hoping to get around £50m for his sale.

“Roma are said to have made contact with us and the player but are not near the fee we require or the wages that he requires. We are also expecting a number of other domestic teams to make their move too, including Aston Villa, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Fulham amongst other teams.

“Todibo refused to play in the last game of the season against Leeds and carried on this stance against Colchester in a behind-doors friendly. A number of clubs are said to have enquired about loaning the player, mostly from his home nation of France, but West Ham wish to sell him. At the moment, there have been no takers, so a loan may have to be reluctantly agreed.

“With his absence and Disasi leaving, the club a centre back or two is a priority alongside a midfielder.

“The club wish to hold onto Konstantinos Mavropanos despite the player having interest from the Premier League and Germany. They may only sell if the club receives a large offer, it is thought.

“At the moment, we are targeting decent quality players who we believe can not only do a job in the Championship but also remain with us in the Premier League should we get promoted. This strategy will mean that targets could take some time to sign, which will play into the hands of the insecure and more anxious of us.

“As we are targeting top players, they will have more options than others, and many will think that they will have Premier League options. It is up to us to convince them to join the club either now or when they perhaps don’t get the offers they may be expecting.

“Naturally the obvious choice that we would like to sign is Axel Disasi for the centre back position and we made our intentions very clear to him that we wish to do this.

“After an impressive season with West Ham he is expected to have other offers so we will have to bide our time and see if we can convince him.”
