West Ham have held positive talks and are stepping up efforts to sign Wales defender Dylan Lawlor, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As was reported previously by Ex, the highly rated 20 year old defender, who currently plays at Cardiff, is one the club highly admire and are now hoping to get further movement on a potential deal.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider provided the latest as the club’s transfer business steps up a gear.

“West Ham have stepped up their efforts to sign Cardiff defender Dylan Lawlor,” stated Ex.

“The 20-year-old centre-back has really caught the eye with his impressive displays for Cardiff and the Welsh National Team.

“He has caught the eye of many clubs, but West Ham are said to have had positive talks over the last couple of days, and the club will try to get further movement in the coming days.

“As was covered in our update, they also have a number of other centre-back targets, but Lawlor seems to be the most advanced in the talks. Although that said, there is some way to go until a deal is potentially reached.

“It had been reported that German giants Bayern Munich had shown an interest, and being able to tempt the player to leave his boyhood club for another Championship club despite this interest would be seen as a real coup.

“The club also have offers in for a number of central midfielders. Lots of these have been named by us, and we hope to receive positive news on these too.”
