West Ham are pressing ahead with strengthening the squad this summer, despite the turmoil surrounding the ownership of the club at present, with ExWHUEmployee reporting the latest.

Its been a testing time in east London in recent weeks, with much uncertainty over the future of the club and that was thrown into further confusion after Amanda Staveley had a £150m bid accepted to buy the Gold family shares, much to the annoyance of Daniel Kretinsky.

In spite of the current board level situation, our insider Ex has advised that there will be no impact on the clubs transfer plans this summer, with much appearing to be happening behind the scenes as Nuno looks to strengthen his squad for the season.

“As we predicted would happen, news emerged about the share ownership at the club, and you would be forgiven for thinking this could hold up or has held up any transfer negotiations that the club is involved in,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “I have checked this a number of times with people in the club and been reassured that this isn’t the case.

“West Ham are said to be actively involved in discussions with a number of clubs for players in key positions.

“The first is in central midfield, where we have already submitted at least two offers for Belgium international Arne Engels of Celtic. We are expected to make a third offer for the player. Celtic are holding out for £25m, and we are said to be in that region, but it depends on what club you listen to; West Ham say it’s close, whereas Celtic have said there is still a lot of distance. West Ham will test the water again to see if we can get our offer accepted.

“The next position we are looking to get solved is the left wing position. The club has a number of targets here, and it is thought that Manor Solomon is the top target from Spurs. The club is aware that this link, when I put it out before, raised some hostile reaction, but they are convinced he could do a very good job for West Ham in the Championship, and Spurs are keen to sell the player.

“Talks will continue next week. Alternative options are Reiss Nelson of Arsenal and Simon Adingra of Sunderland. Matteo Cancellieri of Lazio is another option.

“Again, now the forward targets that I mentioned at the start of the window are starting to gather momentum. The club has already submitted an offer for fellow Sunderland player Wilson Isidor. Sunderland is willing to sell the player for around £20m, and West Ham could be tempted, but it is thought they prefer a loan with an option to buy.

“Another forward who has been on the list for a while and again we exclusively reported at the start of the window is Irish international forward Troy Parrott. The player is thought to be prepared to return to England and make a go of it. The former Spurs player has been a hit in the Dutch league and also been a star for his national team. Ajax and Real Betis are said to offer stiff competition for the 24 year old. There are other forward targets on the list.

“At centre back Dylan Lawlor still remains the prime target but Cardiff are reluctant to sell the player. Again, there are other targets who I’ve disclosed before.

“The club could be looking for a back up right back now with Aaron Wan-Bissaka almost certain to leave the club. The club should also cash in on Jean-Clair Todibo with a few French and Italian teams looking at him. Alvarez is also expected to go with Spanish teams and Ajax looking at him and Freddie Potts is on the brink of completing his move to Club Brugge, after Nuno was undecided on sanctioning the move but has now agreed to it.

“Hampus Skoglund of Hammarby in Sweden is someone we have looked at for the right back position with Rangers and Schalke also looking at the Swedish under 21s international. Coventry City’s Kaine Kesler-Hayden presents and alternative option too. Thérence Koudou of KV Mechelen is someone that Nils Koppen has admired for a while now.

“West Ham have again been presented with the opportunity to sign Bamba Dieng the Senegalese international forward. The player is available on a free transfer having left Lorient in the summer.

“The 26 year old is said to be happy to move to West Ham and provides a cheaper alternative if deals cannot be struck for some of the other forward targets. A number of championship clubs have looked at the forward and West Ham could be one of those who gives him a chance should some of the other targets not materialise.”
