West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Joel Piroe from Leeds United, with a deal possibly being agreed today, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider Ex has advised that Piroe is now emerging as the prime target after talks for Troy Parrott collapsed.

“It appears that discussions did continue with Az for Troy Parrott last night and these talks did not progress,” stated Ex. “Attention will now turn to Leeds forward Joël Piroe. The former Swansea forward has a good record at Championship level, formed a good partnership with Manor Solomon at Leeds and is expected to cost a lot less than Parrott.

“West Ham are said to be very close to agreeing a deal. At the moment it seems a loan with an obligation is the most likely, but other options are being explored. This means money can also be used on different positions.

“Nuno has stressed he wants a forward in quickly especially with the injury to Pablo. It is thought that a deal could be agreed today and the medical could be as early as tomorrow. The moves comes as our latest attempt last night to agree a fee for Parrott collapsed and it looks like Jamie Vardy also has alternative options.”
